The Town of Caledon Fire Headquarters was first created in 1974 during municipal restructuring and is located at 6085 Old Church Road, Caledon East . The Department has put in place a Master Fire Plan ensuring public fire protection in Caledon. Caledon Fire and Emergency Services is comprised of approximately 250 personnel.
The O.P.P. Caledon Detachment is located at 6211 Old Church Road. It works to serve and protect the residents of the Town of Caledon. Ride program, Neighbourhood Watch, Community Policing, Victim Services, and Road Watch are all a part the services provided by the Caledon O.P.P. Detachment.
Town of Caledon Community Complex is located at 6215 Old Church Road just behind the OPP station. It offers an ice arena, banquet facilities as well as a community meeting room.

There are over 260 km of publicly accessible trails within the Town of Caledon
including 105 km of the Bruce Trail. The Town of Caledon currently owns and
maintains the 36 km of the Caledon Trailway, and a 1 km portion of the Etobicoke
Creek Trail. The first Trans Canada Trail Pavilion in the country was built
in Caledon East in 1996. Visit the Stationlands Park in Caledon East to see
the pavilion and commemorative panels, pond and wetland, a developing arboretum,
and Caledon's Walk of Fame.
